I first connected with Mothers Against Gang Violence (MAGV) when they moved into the building where one of my photographs had been transformed into a mural. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of documenting their work on an ongoing basis in Atlanta, Georgia. From major events like their grand opening to the day-to-day impact they create with their mentees, through alternative classrooms, group therapy sessions, and creative pursuits at their new community center.
